Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Sabthok Nepal, we want you to book with confidence. This Refund Policy outlines how cancellations and refunds are handled for experiences booked through our platform. By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.

2. Cancellation by Traveler

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to the experience start date:

  • More than 14 days before start date: Full refund minus payment processing fees.
  • 7–14 days before start date: 50% refund.
  • Less than 7 days before start date: No refund.

All cancellation requests must be submitted through your dashboard or by emailing [email protected].

3. Cancellation by Guide or Sabthok

If a guide or Sabthok Nepal cancels an experience for any reason, you will be offered:

  • A full refund of the amount paid, or
  • The option to reschedule to an alternative date at no extra cost.

4. Force Majeure

In the event of cancellations due to circumstances beyond anyone's control — including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, political unrest, or pandemics — Sabthok Nepal will work with you to reschedule or provide a credit for future bookings. Cash refunds in force majeure situations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. No-Shows

If you fail to show up for a confirmed experience without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued.

6. Partial Experiences

If you voluntarily leave an experience early (e.g., ending a trek midway), no refund will be provided for the unused portion. If you are unable to continue due to medical reasons, please contact us — we will evaluate refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation.

7. Gear Shop Purchases

For items purchased through the Sabthok Gear Shop:

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in original packaging.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Shipping costs for returns are the buyer's responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrect.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.

9. Disputes

If you believe a refund decision was made in error, you may appeal by contacting us within 30 days of the decision. We will review your case and respond within 7 business days.
