Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sabthok Nepal ("Platform"), operated by Sabthok Pvt. Ltd., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. About the Platform

Sabthok Nepal connects travelers with verified local guides for curated trekking, cultural, and adventure experiences across Nepal. We act as an intermediary platform — the experiences are provided by independent guides and operators.

3. Account & Authentication

You may sign in using your Google account. By signing in, you authorize us to access your name and email address from Google for account creation purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.

4. Bookings & Payments

• All bookings are requests that must be confirmed by the guide or operator.
• Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change until a booking is confirmed.
• Group discounts may apply for parties of 4 or more, as shown on the experience page.
• Payment is collected after booking confirmation. We will communicate payment instructions via email.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• More than 14 days before start date: Full refund minus processing fees.
• 7–14 days before start date: 50% refund.
• Less than 7 days: No refund, unless the guide cancels.
• If a guide or Sabthok cancels the experience, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information in your profile or bookings.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Circumvent the Platform to book directly with guides discovered through Sabthok.
• Post harmful, abusive, or fraudulent reviews.

7. Assumption of Risk

Trekking, adventure sports, and outdoor activities carry inherent risks including injury, illness, and property damage. By booking an experience, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Sabthok Nepal is not liable for incidents during activities managed by independent guides and operators. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on Sabthok Nepal — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by Sabthok Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sabthok Nepal is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any booked experience.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
