SABTHOK / MAC JUNK CLEANER

Mac Junk Cleaner privacy policy

Effective November 1, 2026. Mac Junk Cleaner is developed by Sabthok, based in Pokhara, Gandaki, Nepal. Contact: contact@sabthok.com.np.

Mac Junk Cleaner processes files locally on your Mac. The app does not collect or transmit your file contents, filenames, scan results, system readings, or recovery history. It includes no advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party SDKs, or account registration.

Folder permissions and local storage

You choose which folders the app may access through macOS permission dialogs. The app stores security-scoped access bookmarks, preferences, kept-file paths, and recovery records in its macOS app container. Recovery records include original file paths, file identity and modification metadata, Trash locations, operation dates, and access bookmarks. This information is used to scan permitted folders and restore items you moved to Trash.

History is local metadata, not a backup. Emptying macOS Trash removes the files required for recovery. Removing the app's container removes its saved preferences, access bookmarks, and recovery records; uninstalling an app does not necessarily remove its container. Do not remove the container while recovery is still needed. Forgetting additional scan grants in Scan Access does not erase recovery bookmarks retained for previous cleanup operations.

System readings

Status reads approximate CPU, memory, disk, network traffic counters, and uptime for display on your Mac. It does not inspect browsing history or network content. The app does not send these readings off your device.

Sharing and platform services

The app does not sell or share data with third parties. Apple controls App Store purchases, distribution, and operating-system diagnostics under Apple's policies. If you use the beta through TestFlight, Apple collects and shares beta diagnostics, usage information, and feedback with the developer under Apple's TestFlight terms and privacy information. These services are separate from the app's local file processing. If you contact support, you choose what information to send; omit personal filenames and file contents unless necessary.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. This statement is not an App Store Kids Category designation.
